Research Areas: Biodiversity of insect communities (in temperate as well as tropical realms); Evolutionary ecology and macro-ecology of herbivorous insects, the focal organisms are mainly Lepidoptera (moths and butterflies), but also include ants and other insects.
Approaches: Multivariate methods of community analysis to multi-species samples, also incorporating phylogenetic and species trait information.
